Welcome to Responsible Driver

 

To ensure all students have an opportunity to receive their driver’s license on time and their lessons do not expire, we schedule based on each student permit issued date. We allow the same number of students in the portal as we complete from the prior month. We do this for educational purposes as we do not want your child to have the ability to complete their lessons with 4-8 weeks based on their schedule. We do not want your child to have a lesson once a month or must go to multiple locations for driving lessons. Current wait time to schedule your driving lessons is 2-3 month asfter the issued date of your child's permit.  You will receive an email when we are on your child's month.  

Please note: Per the parent contract, all driving lessons must be complete prior to your child's
expiration date.  The expiration date was emailed to you in the log in information email. If any lessons are scheduled after the expiration, they will be automatically deleted. 

Canceling or Rescheduling Driving Lessons:
1. Log in with your user name and password.
2. Click on "Schedule My Drives" and click on the grey box on the drive you wish to change.
Please note: All driving lessons canceled 24 prior to the start time are subject to a cancellation fee. 

Observation Hours:
1. Observation hours are only for students with 6 hours of driving time. 
2. All observation hours will take place after the driving lesson.
3. You may only upgrade to Premium or Elite packages to avoid all observation hours. 

3:00pm / High School Pick ups: (During the school year only)
If you schedule a drive at 3:00pm during the school year we will pick the student up at the following high schools.  Downers Grove North HS, Hinsdale Central HS, Hinsdale South HS, Lyons Township HS , Nazareth Academy, Proviso West HS, Riverside/Brookfield HS. If you child goes to a High School not listed we will pick up the student at your residence if your address is within the pick-up range.  

Driving Lesson Pick up Range:
For all students that are over 5 miles away from our closest location will meet the instructor at the location where they took the classroom course.  Your child will also be dropped off at the same location after the driving lesson. Please select the classroom location for the pick area when setting up the driving times. If you do not know if your city is in the pick up range please call the office at 630-974-6700.
